Got to partner with my old pals at @vokestudio to edit this spot for @thepicklr! @gavin_buckland and @tucurly4u have been absolutely killing it over there and it’s been awesome to witness their journey the last couple of years. Glad we still get to collaborate on things!!
And finally had a chance to work with the incredibly talented @blainehogan on something! Not only a director that I look up to, but also an amazing human being that I have immense admiration for.

@gavin_buckland You’ve never said no to my crazy ideas, including when I called you up and said “Hey, so I have this short film that I want to shoot in 3 weeks and we have no producer. Want to step in to produce it? Oh yeah, we also need 2 race cars, a private track, oh and there’s a little car flip scene, so no big…” A true friend and champion for helping me to pull this off on such short notice. Everyone should find a producer that’s willing to get in the car with them to test the flipping mechanics. So to speak. Special shout out to @layne_buckland for supporting you so you could support me! Awesome hanging with both of you in Nashville for a few days back in 2021.

I feel like this was the last hoo-rah for this short film that we released over a year ago, and I wanted to take a moment to make sure that everyone that was a part of this gets the full recognition they deserve.
There are so many reasons why this film shouldn’t have happened. But everyone who was a part of this film - YOU made it possible. I have so much gratitude in my heart for every single one of you and I want to thank each of you personally. There are too many people to thank in one IG post, so I’m splitting it up into a few posts!
All the credit first and foremost goes to @billlesterracing for defying the odds and going the distance to pursue his dream. Bill, you’ve been a true inspiration to me and to countless others. Thank you for your courage to never stop and to push through every obstacle in your way. A true legend.
@quintonbrogan You were with me from the beginning on this, dreaming up different passion projects to go after when the world shut down. Ever since seeing Argo, I’ve been fascinated with the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis. So imagine my delight when I was tapped to direct a documentary about it!
Due to the sensitivity of the subject matter, we’ve had to keep the full doc under wraps, but I am able to at least share this intro sequence! We used real archival footage from the crisis as well as declassified documents to help lead into our live action recreations of the event. @tucurly4u did an incredible job taking these assets and creating a whole world around them! Love working with that insanely talented dude.

When was the last time you acted like a kid?
There’s something so pure and magical about a kid’s imagination. Being able to see the world through a whole new lens and become someone or something else without any inhibitions. That’s the feeling I wanted to capture in a couple of spots I directed for @vtechtoys last year.
As adults, it takes so much courage to imagine and believe like kids do. So today, I challenge you to have the courage to act like a kid.
Pretend.
Dream.
And believe in the world of your imagination.

Had a blast with @staciwax @adriennekgal and @gavin_buckland putting our heads together for how to best celebrate and reflect on 75 years of NASCAR’s history.
This film was one of 5 short segments that aired during the NASCAR 75th celebration on Fox.
Unfortunately had to lose the Imagine Dragons track that the piece aired with. Gotta keep the lawyers happy!
